Muslims welcome new year under strict SOP

KUALA LUMPUR: Muslims in the country ushered the Islamic New Year 1442 in the new normal due to the Covid-19 pandemic with states holding events to mark the occasion under strict adherence to the recovery movement control order standard operating procedure (SOP).

The celebration, which began on Wednesday at the national level here, was graced by Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah.
