MACC fails to stay decision on forfeiture suit against JB Barisan, Shahrir


KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has failed in its bid to stay the execution of a High Court decision in dismissing its application to forfeit a total of RM957,395.65 that was seized from Johor Baru Barisan Nasional and two others.

This followed a decision by a High Court here Friday (Sept 18) in dismissing the prosecution’s stay application against Johor Baru Barisan, its chairman Tan Sri Shahrir Abdul Samad and treasurer Raihan Baba.
