KUALA LUMPUR: The prosecution has filed an appeal against the acquittal of lawyer and activist Siti Kasim (pic) of a charge of obstructing a Federal Territory Islamic Religious Department (Jawi) officer from discharging her public duty during an event at a hotel in 2016.
Siti's lawyer A. Saha Deva informed the press of the matter after case management in a lawsuit filed by Siti, whose birthname is Siti Zabedah Kasim, against Jawi before High Court judge Judicial Commissioner Latifah Mohd Tahar here on Tuesday (Sept 22).
