Partial work stoppage: Kedah DOE seized equipment from factories that were believed to have caused air pollution in Bukit Selambau, Sungai Petani, following complaints from residents living in the area.
SUNGAI PETANI: Three wood-based factories in Bukit Selambau were ordered to stop operations following public complaints of poor air quality in the area.
According to Kedah Department of Environment director Norazizi Adinan, the first premise was found to have been operating without approval from the local authorities.
