Govt fails in bid to stay court’s decision to dismiss forfeiture suits against Jakel Trading


KUALA LUMPUR: The government has failed to stay a High Court ruling that dismissed its suit to forfeit more than RM600,000 linked to 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) from textile giant Jakel Trading.

Judicial Commissioner Ahmad Shahrir Mohd Salleh said in his ruling that there was no merit in the prosecution’s application.
