Bernama TV lodges police report over wrongly auto-translated social media post


KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): Bernama TV lodged a police report Wednesday (Oct 21) over the circulation on social media of a that was wrongly auto-translated social media on a work-from-home directive for people in conditional movement control order (MCO) red zones, that had been wrongly attributed to the television channel.

The English text of the tweet originally in Malay by Bernama TV was an incorrect version that was obtained by turning on Facebook’s automatic translation setting.
