PUTRAJAYA: With Umno and PAS to officially register Muafakat Nasional as a political entity, it remains to be seen the role that the Islamist party will play in another political bloc, namely Perikatan Nasional.
Political observers are also keen to see if Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia, the main player in Perikatan which had accepted an official invitation to join the Muafakat coalition, will change its stand following recent political developments involving the party and Umno.
