KOTA BARU: Despite the pandemic gloom with the closure of the country’s border since the movement control order (MCO) was enforced in March, the once sleepy village of Kampung Pulau Tengah, Kubang Kerian, near here is seeing a tourism boom.

The influx of visitors who have discovered this natural haven has given a ray of hope to residents of the village, which attracts over 500 people during the weekends.
