Companies providing upskilling, reskilling programmes must provide employment, says Umno lawmaker

KUALA LUMPUR: Companies providing upskilling and reskilling programmes must provide employment after the training course for workers who are affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, suggests senior Umno lawmaker Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid.

The Padang Terap MP lauded the allocation under Budget 2021 for the upskilling and reskilling programmes, but believed that the initiative should also be supported by government linked companies (GLC) and government linked investment companies (GLIC).
