No need for all MPs to be present if Parliament has enough quorum, says Art Harun


KUALA LUMPUR: Dewan Rakyat Speaker Datuk Azhar Azizan Harun was ticked off when an Opposition lawmaker had questioned the decision to only limit 80 MPs to be present in the House.

Azhar said there was no specification in the Federal Constitution that states the need to have all 222 MPs present in the House to debate the Budget.
