‘80 MPs rule not breaking law’


KUALA LUMPUR: There is no clause in the Federal Constitution that states that all MPs must be present in the House to debate the Budget, says Dewan Rakyat Speaker Datuk Azhar Azizan Harun.

“The quorum in the House is 26 and we are allowing 80 MPs to be present. I am not stopping the MPs from debating. Those selected by their party (to be present in the House) can debate.
