Over 322k employers, 2.6mil workers to benefit from Wage Subsidy Programme, Dewan told


KUALA LUMPUR: More than 322,000 employers and 2.6mil workers are set to benefit from the Wage Subsidy Programme (PSU) and PSU 2.0 after the goverment approved a total of RM11.9bil worth of schemes as of Oct 23 this year, the Dewan Rakyat was told.

Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz said the scheme was introduced to assist employers who are affected by Covid-19 so businesses can continue operate and to avoid retrenchment of workers and workers struggling to find a new source of income.
