Health DG clarifies issue over viral photos of foreign workers with pink wristbands


PUTRAJAYA, 18 Ogos -- Ketua Pengarah Kesihatan Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah ketika sidang media harian berkaitan jangkitan COVID-19 di Kementerian Kesihatan hari ini. Sebanyak 7 kes baharu positif COVID-19 dilaporkan setakat tengah hari tadi sekaligus menjadikan jumlah kumulatif kes yang positif di negara ini sebanyak 9,219 kes manakala yang telah pulih sebanyak 26 kes dan tiada kes kematian akibat jangkitan itu direkodkan hari ini dengan jumlah kumulatif kematian sebanyak 125 kes. --fotoBERNAMA (2020) HAK CIPTA TERPELIHARA

KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): Two photos showing foreign workers wearing pink wristbands still working at a construction site which recently went viral, are of those who had undergone Covid-19 surveillance screening at the construction site, and not of close contacts to positive cases, says Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah (pic).

The Health director-general said the individuals involved were given pink bracelets to prevent them from leaving the construction site.
