M'sian Army chief suggests increased border patrols, more cooperation among Asean

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Army chief has suggested increasing border patrol operations to curb illegal crossings and smuggling activities that could lead to a spike in Covid-19 infections in the region.

Jen Tan Sri Zamrose Mohd Zain suggested this during the Asean Chief of Army Multilateral Meeting (Acamm), where he also said that they should continue enhancing cooperation between Asean countries via video conference in line with the new Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOPs).
