Low-key birthday for Selangor Ruler

Calling for calm: Sultan Sharafuddin also hoped that the people will continue to be patient and calm as they face the calamity that has affected everyone.

KLANG: Selangor Ruler Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah will mark his 75th birthday this year in a low-key manner, unlike the previous years where the order of the day was a grand investiture ceremony followed by a garden tea party.

In a press statement issued by the Selangor Royal Office, the Sultan said there would not be any ceremonies this year due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
