Bidayuh ‘ring ladies’ get their own mural


KUCHING: A new mural featuring Sarawak's last Bidayuh “ring ladies” is set to become a tourist attraction at Kota Padawan here.

State Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Datuk Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah said the mural depicted five “ring ladies” with their “ruyang” and “rasung”, the coiled copper rings worn on the forearms and calves, as well as their traditional headgear, necklaces, red sashes, belts and sarong.
