Johor Bomba rescues disabled man as floods hit Pontian


PONTIAN: A 56-year-old man with disabilities was rescued by the Fire and Rescue Department when his house in Kampung Melayu Raya here started flooding during heavy rain.

Pekan Nanas Fire and Rescue Department station chief Mahadir Mamat said firemen found the wheelchair-bound man lying on his bed in floodwaters about 0.6m high when they arrived at his house around 11.12pm on Monday (Dec 14).
