THERE is a traditional Japanese art of mending broken pottery called kintsugi, where the broken pieces are reattached together with gold lacquer. The result is often more beautiful than the original piece.
In many ways, we can reflect upon the future of our society in this same light. It is now time to embrace the brokenness that we have experienced throughout the course of this Covid-19 pandemic and to use those pieces to craft our path forward.
