Ex-Tabung Haji chairman Abdul Azeez fails in bid to quash 13 charges for corruption, money laundering


The High Court today dismissed application by former Tabung Haji chairman Datuk Seri Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim (middle) to quash 13 charges of accepting bribes and money laundering againts him. - Bernama

KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): Former Tabung Haji chairman Datuk Seri Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim on Friday (March 12) failed in his bid to quash three corruption charges he is facing pertaining to road projects in Perak and Kedah, as well as 10 charges for money laundering.

This followed High Court Judge Muhammad Jamil Hussin’s decision in dismissing the application on grounds that all the charges made against Abdul Azeez, 54, were not defective and based on the provisions of law.
