THE founder of “Good Papa You Tiao” (Chinese crullers/yau char kwai), whose plight had tugged at the public’s heartstrings, passed away abruptly from a heart attack on March 3, reported Sin Chew Daily.

Fondly known as Johnny, the Thai national became an Internet sensation after the public found out that the single father opened his stall in Taman Serdang Perdana as a means to raise his two daughters after he was made redundant from a Thai restaurant in Kuala Lumpur where he had worked as a chef for the past 10 years.
