PUTRAJAYA: A by-election to fill the vacancy for the Melor state seat has been postponed in view of the Emergency, said the Election Commission (EC).
EC secretary Datuk Ikmalrudin Ishak said according to Article 46(5) of the Kelantan state constitution, a vacancy in a seat in the state legislative assembly needs to be filled within 60 days from the date the seat is declared vacant.
