PETALING JAYA: The number of Covid-19 cases is projected to exceed 8,000 cases a day by June if the infectivity rate (R0, pronounced R-nought) is at 1.2 and if there is no compliance with the standard operating procedure.

This was according to a graphic by the Health Ministry, which was retweeted by its director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah yesterday.

In the same tweet, Dr Noor Hisham also shared that Perak had the highest R0 at 1.32, while the country’s average is 1.14.
