SESB: Tenom Pangi hydro power station not cause of floods in Tenom

KOTA KINABALU (Bernama): Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) denied on Friday (May 21) that the floods in Beaufort and Tenom are due to the release of water from its Tenom Pangi Hydro Power Station in Tenom.

SESB senior general manager (Asset Management) Norhizami Abu Hasan said the station was designed based on the concept of the run-of-river scheme to generate electricity and not through the dam system.
