Sabah floods: Over 5,000 flood victims in 40 shelters; one victim drowned in Beaufort

KOTA KINABALU: Floods in the districts of Beaufort and Tenom saw over 5,000 victims housed in 40 shelters, with one death due to drowning was recorded at Beaufort on Sunday (May 23).

The deceased, Fairol Jisirun from Kampung Teratak, slipped into a deep end while pushing out a boat at Kampung Mantao, located five kilometres from his home.
