MCO violations: 939 fined, 47 remanded on Wednesday (June 2)


PETALING JAYA: A total of 939 individuals were issued compound notices while 47 others were remanded for movement control order (MCO) violations on Wednesday (June 2).

Senior Minister (Security) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said among the violations committed were not wearing face masks (218), interstate/interdistrict travel and dining in (196), failure to register particulars before entering a premises (135), ferrying too many passengers (127), no physical distancing (125), not complying with movement restrictions (68), entertainment outlet activities (35), premises' failure to comply with orders (12), and 71 miscellaneous offences.
