PETALING JAYA: Malaysia is fighting its deadliest Covid-19 outbreak since the start of the pandemic amid growing concern about sporadic cases that have come to dominate infections in the country.

Sporadic or unlinked transmissions refer to cases that cannot be linked to any cluster. A sharp rise is worrying since it shows that the coronavirus is becoming more entrenched.
