Volunteer corps told to look into phantom membership issue

BUKIT MERTAJAM: The People’s Volunteer Corps (Rela) has been ordered to tighten and refine its registration system following claims of people being enrolled without their knowledge.

Home Minister Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin said the cause of such allegations was partly due to various assistance that was given out in the past and that some parties were seizing the opportunity to make unsubstantiated claims.
