Electricity bill rebates extended until year end

PETALING JAYA: The two sen per kilowatt-hour (kWh) rebate for all Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) account holders will be extended for another six months from July 1 until Dec 31 but at a slightly reduced rate.

Energy and Natural Resources Minister Datuk Dr Shamsul Anuar Nasarah said 9.44 million TNB account holders will benefit, which he said would involve an additional allocation of RM493mil from Kumpulan Wang Industri Elektrik (KWIE).
