Kapit, Telang Usan in S'wak declared ASF disease control areas after outbreak in Kalimantan


KUCHING: Sarawak's Kapit division and Telang Usan district have been declared as African Swine Fever (ASF) disease control areas following reports of a suspected outbreak in neighbouring Nunukan and Krayan provinces in Kalimantan Utara, Indonesia.

State Veterinary Services Department director Dr Adrian Susin Ambud said the order was made by Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah under Section 35(1)(b) of the Veterinary Public Health Ordinance on Monday (July 5).
