Penang Umno leader quits govt-appointed positions in UPM, UPM Holdings


GEORGE TOWN: A Penang Umno division leader has quit his government-appointed positions following the party's supreme council decision to withdraw support for the Perikatan Nasional federal government.

Balik Pulau Umno chief Datuk Shah Headan Ayoob Hussain (pic) announced his resignation as a board member of Universiti Putra Malaysia and UPM Holdings Sdn Bhd with immediate effect in a letter dated Friday (Aug 6).
