Cadmium found in elephant carcasses

KOTA KINABALU: A toxic heavy metal known as cadmium may be the cause of the deaths of Sabah’s endangered Borneo pygmy elephants over the years.

However, it is not known how cadmium had entered the bodies of these animals.
