Appeals court dismisses applications by 32 individuals to challenge compounds issued by MACC


PUTRAJAYA (Bernama): The Court of Appeal on Friday (Oct 15) dismissed the appeals by 32 individuals including former Felda chairman Tan Sri Shahrir Abdul Samad and Pontian MP Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan to challenge the compound notices issued by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) over charges of receiving funds linked to the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).

A three-member bench led by Justice Datuk Suraya Othman dismissed their appeals on grounds there was no merit in the appeals.
