BN to stand in all seats, with mostly new faces


KUALA LUMPUR: Barisan Nasional has confirmed it will be flying solo in the Melaka state election and will contest in all 28 seats, paving the way for multi-cornered fights.

“After discussing with all top Barisan leaders, Umno will be fielding candidates in 20 seats, MCA will be contesting in seven seats while MIC will be fielded in one seat,” Barisan election director Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan (pic) told a press conference at the Umno headquarters yesterday.
