Ministry representatives must be present for Dewan Negara sitting, says Senate president

KUALA LUMPUR: Senate president Tan Sri Dr Rais Yatim (pic) says that at the least, a ministry representative must be present when a matter related to that ministry is raised in the Dewan Negara.

Rais said on Tuesday (Dec 14) that apart from a change in attitude, the move needed the cooperation of all parties so that matters voiced by Senate members were not in vain and would get the attention of the relevant ministries.
