KANGAR: The Perlis Veterinary Services Department (JPV) hopes that the success of the Hybrid Cattle Genetic Resources Strengthening programme in the state can reduce dependence on imported meat in the future.
Its director Dr Adam Abdullah Kwan said the department expected local beef production to increase by 5% to 10% annually based on current demand.
