Ops Selamat: Police to use in-car radar and number plate scanners to detect offenders


SUNGAI BULOH: Bukit Aman will use in-car radar and iCOPS vehicle plate scanning devices to detect traffic offenders during the upcoming Ops Selamat in conjunction with Chinese New Year.

Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Razarudin Husain said both systems installed in expressway mobile patrol vehicles (EMPV) will be able to detect vehicle speeds and also determine if an individual has outstanding summonses or traffic arrest warrants.
