WITH the ongoing pandemic, the need for a healthy lifestyle has never been greater.

The pandemic has greatly affected our quality of life, with the Herbalife Nutrition Asia Pacific Health Inertia Survey 2021 indicating that over six in 10 Malaysian respondents reported less than ideal physical and mental health.

A whopping 82% indicated lack of physical activity for deteriorating physical health, along with other factors such as eating more unhealthy food (42%) and lacking community support (34%).

Meanwhile, 70% of respondents identified staying home more as the cause of deteriorating mental health, as well as lack of outdoor activities (60%) and stress over work and an uncertain economic situation (34%).

While this is alarming, there is also an overwhelming majority of Malaysians becoming health conscious and taking the effort to exercise and eat a healthy, balanced diet.

Moreover, in this time and age of technology, there is a rise of communication channels, gadgets and apps to support exercise and keep us all connected with like-minded people who can provide vital support and motivation.

On a wider scale, Herbalife Nutrition is supporting social, environmental and mental health initiatives around the world to create awareness on nutrition and in providing nutrition. It is also actively involved in programmes to reduce unnecessary waste, such as recycling programmes.
