All aboard the bicycle train


KUALA LUMPUR: KTM Bhd is now offering trains for special charters to cater to cyclists and any other type of recreational activity. It has launched its maiden familiarisation trip for the media and tourism players to excite them about the possibility of using KTM trains for cross-country cycling trips.

Called the Ekpres Koc Basikal (XKB), the special train left the Kuala Lumpur train station here at dawn to bring nearly 150 participants to Tanjung Malim, Perak, along with their full-sized bicycles.The train arrived in Tanjung Malim at about 8.30am yesterday, after which the participants eagerly explored the town on their bicycles.
