JOHOR BARU: Thanks to Chinese calligraphy, an American retiree says he finally understands the Chinese characters written on mahjong tiles.
“I often play mahjong but I did not learn the meaning behind the characters on the tiles,” said Timothy Eugene Oliver, 68, who has been living here for nearly a decade.
