‘Egg shortage will be over soon’

PUTRAJAYA: The current shortage of eggs is due to high festive consumption, as well as farms and delivery companies not operating during the Chinese New Year holiday period, says the Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry.

Its enforcement director Azman Adam said the sharp increase in the purchase of eggs before, during and after the recent holidays has contributed to the current shortage.
