PETALING JAYA: The 15-year-old rape victim who allegedly stabbed her newborn baby to death in Kemaman, Terengganu should not be detained in the police lockup, says the Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (Suhakam).
Its children's commissioner Prof Datuk Noor Aziah Mohd Awal said the girl needed to get the necessary legal aid and healthcare from the authorities.
