Trial on hold after 15,500 documents withheld

NEW YORK: The trial of former Goldman Sachs banker Roger Ng, who is accused of helping loot Malaysia’s 1MDB sovereign wealth fund, will be paused due to late disclosure of some evidence by prosecutors to the defence, the judge in the case ruled.

The evidence, in the form of 15,500 documents, is related to Tim Leissner, Ng’s former boss and the star witness in the trial.
