Evacuations begin as Kelantan, Terengganu placed on flood alert

PETALING JAYA: Kelantan and Terengganu have been put on alert following the Meteorological Department of Malaysia’s (MetMalaysia) forecast of continuous rain for much of Peninsular Malaysia.

Yesterday saw a total of 435 people from 131 families in Terengganu and Kelantan being told to evacuate from their homes as a precautionary measure against floods.
