FBI man: Hourglass and jewellery bought with stolen 1MDB funds


NEW YORK: An FBI agent told a court here about how the wives and mother-in-law of Goldman Sachs bankers became part of a global scheme to steal billions of dollars from 1Malaysia Development Bhd.

Agent Sean Fern also told of how a US$20,000 gold-plated hourglass and another US$300,000 in diamond jewellery were bought using funds diverted from the sovereign fund.
