JOHOR BARU: He’s hoping that the whiff of the banana cake made by his family-run bakery will bring in customers again, once land travel between Singapore and Malaysia resumes on April 1.

The banana cake had been popular with visitors from as far as Penang, said Lim Toh Huei, who is the manager of a third generation which runs the Hiap Joo Bakery & Biscuit Factory.
