Zahid's stay application in YAB trial to be heard on July 4

KUALA LUMPUR: The hearing of Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi's application to stay the proceedings in his Yayasan Akalbudi (YAB) trial pending the outcome of his appeal to obtain witnesses' recorded statements has been brought forward to July 4.

Justice Collin Lawrence Sequerah, however, instructed that the cross-examination of the Umno president proceed on Wednesday (June 29) as he did not want the trial to be impeded.
