Mastermind of 2017 SEA Games terror plot deported to Manila


KOTA KINABALU: A suspected Abu Sayyaf member, who was arrested in Malaysia for the 2017 plot to disrupt the Kuala Lumpur SEA Games, has been deported back to the Philippines.

The 30-year-old Hajar Binadbul Mubin, who was in Malaysia using a fake Malaysian identity card obtained from Sabah, was immediately arrested at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Pasay City at about 11.30pm on Thursday (July 7).
