MCA calls for special task force to protect M'sia's sovereignty over claims by Sulu heirs


PETALING JAYA: MCA has called for a special task force on international arbitration to protect Malaysia’s sovereignty over claims made by the self-proclaimed heirs of the Sulu sultanate.

Party secretary-general Datuk Chong Sin Woon (pic) said the controversial US$14.92bil (RM63bil) award to the self-proclaimed heirs of the Sulu sultanate by a Paris Arbitration Court and and the alleged court-ordered seizure of two Petronas subsidiaries in Luxembourg was "a direct challenge to our national sovereignty."
