GEORGE TOWN: Paxlovid, the antiviral drug used to treat Covid-19, is available at most major hospitals but it will be prescribed to patients on a case-to-case basis, said an infectious disease consultant.

The drug is meant for those suffering mild to moderate symptoms and not for severe cases, said Penang Hospital infectious disease consultant and infection prevention and control coordinator Datuk Dr Chow Ting Soo.
