Sabah Pakatan reps to use pay hike to fund lawsuit, welfare programmes

KOTA KINABALU: Seven Sabah Pakatan Harapan lawmakers will use their recent pay hike to pay the legal fees for their lawsuit they filed in court to seek Sabah rights to its entitlement for the return of 40% federal revenue from the state.

They filed an originating summons back on June 3, seeking, among others, a declaration from the High Court that Sabah is entitled to the 40% revenue derived by the Federal Government from the state annually to be “respected and delivered” as stated in the Constitution.
